Lalita devi is the oldest of the 8 principal gopis. When the arrogant gopis quarrel with Krsna, Lalita leads the conflict. Being hot tempered by nature, her mouth becomes bent with ferocious anger as she expertly discharges outrageous haughty retorts.

She carries an umbrella for Radha and Krsna, decorates Them with flowers and decorates the cottage where the Divine Couple rest at night.
