Welcome to Graduate School! Have you finished your secondary studies??
Srimad Bhagavatam is the post graduate study of the Bhagavat Gita and the basic Vedic literatures and anyone who is serious about studying Srimad Bhagavatam must begin with a serious study of the first two cantos (SB 4.24.52.p). The Srimad Bhagavatam is the literary incarnation of God. The first two Cantos are His lotus feet (pada-padma) and then the later Cantos are His legs, waist, chest and finally the smiling face of the Supreme Lord. Saint Thomas Aquinas said that there are three ways to kiss God: the kiss of the feet, the kiss of the hand and the kiss of the lips. But, he continued, as far as I am concerned I am still working on the feet! In S.B. 2.2.12 Srila Prabhupada concludes that those who are still entrapped by sex indulgence should never progress to meditate above the feet of the Lord; therefore recital of Srimad Bhagavatam by them would be restricted to the First and Second Canto of the great literature.
Our Bachelors degree then is based upon studying the first two Cantos of Srimad Bhagavatam. Order your full set of Srimad Bhagavatam through the Campus Store and begin with reading the Preface.
We will be adding study guides in the next few days as the time progresses and continuous dialog on this Pada-padma study in the Campus Newspaper.
O.K. Now, Annual Review of Srimad Bhagavatam
Welcome to the Annual Review of Srimad Bhagavatam. Have you done your Bachelor's studies? Srimad Bhagavatam is the summum bonum of life, the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself incarnated in this Age of Kali. Therefore careful and repeated study of Srimad Bhagavtam is the best religious principle in this Age. To this end the ASA supports an Annual Review of Srimad Bhagavatam. There are 12 Cantos in the Srimad Bhagavatam and twelve months in the Vaisnava year. They correspond to the tilaka marks if you are familiar with these. So we review one canto each month and publish these studies in the HED. Look in the Campus Newspaper for the current month's review.  We will give more detailed information in this section of the Web page as time permits. sangat sanjayate kamah -- One's desires and ambitions develop from the company he keeps. If we keep association in this ASA we will develop our desire to study Srimad Bhagavatam. Then we will be sufficiently strong to stay free from the clutches of Maya and also convince others of the existence of God as a tangible fact.
