finished your Primary studies???! The basis for our Secondary studies is the book "KRSNA, The Supreme Personality of Godhead". You can order a copy from the Campus Store. The Vedas are the essence of all knowledge. They include everything knowable to man: Military science, political science, medicine, fine arts and music, and epistemology-ontology-praxiology etc. Modern Indologists publish a bibliography called the "Catalogus Catalogorium". Most major research libraries
have a copy. It includes the content and location of all known ancient Sanskrit texts available on the planet today. In a recent publication it included over 125,000 know texts on the planet. There are included mathematical systems which would take a lifetime for an Occidental person to master. Why has all this knowledge been covered? British colonialism. With the help of such scholars as Max Muller and others the British undertook a direct plan to discredit the Indian heritage. The Germans
went to South Africa, Portuguese and Spanish to South America but the British got India. It is like when the thieves enter the house. One finds the linen closet, another the kitchen but one finds the Silverware. It rattles and the rest hear it and ask, "What is that! What is that! What did you find?" So he says, "Oh, it is nothing. Better stay where you are."
So when the British discovered Indian culture and continent they could appreciate that they had discovered the
jewel and they intentionally created a program of misinformation to keep it all for them selves. Indians obtained political freedom from European colonialism in 1947 but just now they are obtaining intellectual freedom from this colonialism. This is in large part due to the heroic authentic translation efforts of His Divine grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, Srila Prabhupada and his Bhaktivedanta Book Trust.
So, the Vedas are the most advanced literature on the planet. But who can read
125,000 books? But the essence and best of this desire tree of Vedic knowledge is the 18,000 verse Bhagavata Purana. Translation with annotation of this Srimad Bhagavatam was the assignment and life's work of Srila Prabhupada. And he was successful in his mission. There are now more books in print by Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada than any other single author in the history of the world and all these are direct or supplementary translations of the Srimad Bhagavatam. He will
certainly be recorded as a modern day Noah who made an Ark to save the Vedas and all human knowledge from the horrible clutches of this modern mechanical society. But, who can read the 18,000 verse Srimad Bhagavatam in the few remaining minutes that may be left to us in these dangerous times. So, His Divine Grace kindly gave us a summary study of the Tenth Canto of Srimad Bhagavatam which is the essence of the other Eleven Cantos which is the essence of the essence of the Vedas for our
immediate, practical, simple, happy appreciation. "KRSNA, The Supreme Personality of Godhead": The essence of the essence of the essence of all human knowledge. Along with our study of the Krsna book we will review the Bhagavad Gita which is the summary of the philosophical ideas of the Vedas and the Nectar of Devotion which is Rupa Goswami's presentation of the practices or "tantra" of this Hare Krsna culture. All these are available in the Campus Store.
