- Where is Panihati? Panihati

- (parama - greatest, hamsa - swan) the topmost swanlike
class of devotees. a swan is said in the Vedas to possess the unique
capability to separate milk from water. In this way the
paramahamsa is able to separate the milk of spiritual
knowledge from the water of material knowledge. Though
used frequently, according to the Vedas it can really
only be used in connection with Vaisnavas or pure devotees of
the Supreme Lord.
