Mother Radica's Spicy Pita Bread

2 cups white flour

1 tbsp ghee

1/2 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp hing

pinch of cayenne

pinch of parsley

water

 

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, hing, cayenne, and parsely together and add enough warm water to form a medium soft dough. Spread melted ghee and knead for about two minutes. Separate the dough into four balls. Round them out in the palm of the hands and let sit for twenty minutes.

Roll out dough about 1/4 inch thick, heat griddle or heavy skillet which has been lightly spread with ghee and cook about two minutes each side or until brown. Spread with butter. Offer it to Krsna and then enjoy. Hare Krsna!
