The Brhan-Naradiya Purana [ 3.8.126] states:

kalau nastyeva nastyeva nastyeva gathir anyatham

" In this age of Kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means of self realization than chanting the holy names, chanting the holy names, chanting the holy names of the Lord."

New Govardhana is located in the sub - tropical Tweed Valley of Northern N.S.W. The environment features clean water, unpolluted rivers and many areas of lush native rainforest. The devotees here are gradually developing a self sufficient alternative community based on spiritual values.

* The devotees of our community live according to the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.

In the Gita [18.66] Lord Krishna instructs
"Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me.
I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions.Do not fear."

Our community currently has around 100 members living full time within the New Govardhana area.There are also many more congregational devotees who practise Krishna consciousness at home and perform their worship at the temple.Devotional service or bhakti yoga can be practised at any time without difficulty by hearing about Krishna [sravana]or by chanting His Names [kirtana].
