Sri Sri Radha Govardhanadhari

The Temple was established in 1977 on a 1,000 acre property in the lush farming districts of the Tweed River Valley. As the center of activities of the devotees in the community Lord Krishna in His deity form was installed and is worshipped with great love. Our various deities include Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Sri Sri Krishna Balarama and Sri Giriraja,as well as our presiding deities, Sri Sri Radha Govardhanadhari.

The process of deity worship is integral to the Krishna consciousness movement. The deity of Krishna is never considered to be a mere idol, but is regarded as being Sri Krishna Himself.
According to Vedic scriptures such as Srimad Bhagavatam and Brahma Samhita the Lord has an eternal form of bliss and knowledge, and the deity is fashioned according to descriptions of that form given by such authoritative scriptures.By engaging in the process of deity worship the devotee is cleansed of sinful reaction and gradually revives his eternal relationship with God.

Sri Radha
Srimati Radharani

The Supreme Lord is always accompanied by His ecstatic potency in the form of Srimati Radharani, who is the internal energy of Godhead. Sri Radha is the original female form, the embodiment of ecstatic love of Godhead and an ocean of mercy. Sri Krishna and Srimati Radharani are the perfect couple, free of all material inebrieites and full of knowledge, bliss and eternity. All male / female forms and relationships in this material world are a perverted reflection of the transcendental union of Godhead in the form of Sri Sri Radha and Krishna.

Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu

Sri Krishna Caitanya appeared in Nadia district, West Bengal approximately 500 years ago. Scriptural authorities and self-realized devotees have accepted Lord Caitanya as the Supreme Lord Himself. Further study of the life and teachings of Lord Caitanya can be found in the translation of Sri Caitanya Caritamrta by Srila Prabhupada.
