Nrhari's Mother was named Celestina. She was born in Beunos Aries January 31, 1912. She was descendant of Spanish nobility and was raised Catholic. She married Natalio Nijensohn and had two children, Bhakta devi dasi and Nrhari dasa, who joined iskcon in 1973. When the temple was attacked in 1978 they kept the Dieties and devotees at there house until they could be taken to Brazil and paid for the devotees to go to other countries. They visited their children in the U.S.. In 1975 and met Srila Prabhupada. Later they moved from Buenos Aries and lived near or with their children and their families in devotee comunities. She passed away chanting Hare Krishna with her last breath surrounded by her devotee children and grandchildren on September 17, 1989, in Vancouver, Canada. The funeral was attended by all the devotees at the Vancouver yatra, then there was a large mahotsava at the Temple. Her husband and her two children took her ashes to the Yamuna. She was referred to as Svargi devi dasi during the ceromony which is Sanskrit for Celestina.
While in Vrndavana , her husband Natalio took first and second initiation at Goverdhan hill from Raghunath Dasa also known as Madon Mohan a disciple of Kesava Maharaj Srila Prabhupada's Godbrother. He was named Giriraj dasa. He was born September 8,1907.The youngest son of Jewish immigrants related to the tzars of Russia, and the only child born in Argentina. His parents were multi millionares and brought a whole jewish community to Buenos Aries. His father was shot and killed by a crazy worker when Giriraj was 7 yrs. old. His uncle continued his fathers work including the founding of Israel. There is a forest in Israel named Ben Noah after his family name, Nijensohn, which is German for son of Noah. He became a pharmacist and also wrote and translated for medical journals. He passed away August 31,1999 eight days before his 92nd birthday. He was a true gentleman and transformed all who met him. He was always inspired by Srila Prabhupada's preaching even thru adversity and wanted to preach even while dying.
