His Grace Yadunatha Das, a dedicated Fijian disciple of Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami left this world at 5:38pm on Sunday, 22nd September, 2002, at Monash Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He had chest pains a week ago but did not want to go to the hospital since he had sponsored the Radhastami feast. After the feast, his son took him to the hospital. Devotees read the whole Bhagavad Gita, slokas and translation, and did continuous chanting prior to his departure. They also gave him Ganges, the 1008 scared water, and Tulsi all day for him to drink. Aniruddha prabhu (temple president of Melbourne) bathed his body and changed the dhoti and also arranged for the final rites on Monday.
