Radha (Radharani)--
Lord KRSNA's most intimate eternal consort, who is the personification of His spiritual pleasure potency.
 
Raga-bhakti-
devotional service in spontaneous love.
 
Raganuga-
bhakti-spontaneous devotional service in which the devotee follows in the footsteps of one of the eternal associates of Krsna in Vrndavana.
 
Raghava Pandita
A personal associate of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who live in Panihati. He is mentioned in Chaitanya Caritamrta as the incarnation of Radharani's chief gopi cook. His cooking was so nectarean that Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Himself would always accept whatever he cooked.
 
Raghunatha Bhatta Gosvami and Raghunatha dasa Gosvami--
two of the six Gosvamis of Vrndavana, VAISNAVA spiritual masters who directly followed Sri CAITANYA MAHAPRABHU and systematically presented His teachings.
 
rajas--
the material mode of passion, characterized by materialistic endeavor and desire for sense gratification.
 
Rama--
a name of the Supreme Personality of Godhead meaning "the source of all pleasure.
 
Ramacandra--
an incarnation of the Lord who demonstrated the behavior of a perfect king.
 
Ramananda Raya--
a confidential associate of Lord CAITANYA MAHAPRABHU.
 
Ramanujacarya--
an eleventh-century VAISNAVA spiritual master who attacked SANKARACARYA'S philosophy of monism.
 
Rasa--
the particular loving mood or attitude relished in the exchange of love with the Supreme Lord.
 
Ratha-yatra--
the annual festival of Lord JAGANNATHA, in which the Deity is carried on huge carts in a parade.
 
Rg Veda--
one of the four original VEDAS, containing hymns to different demigods.
 
Rudra--See SIVA.
 
Rupa Gosvami--
the chief of the six Gosvamis of Vrndavana VAISNAVA spiritual masters who directly followed Lord CAITANYA MAHAPRABHU and systematically presented His teachings.
