Food for Life appears to be an ordinary welfare programme. However, it is actually quite unique. We are the only organisation dedicated to mass prasadam (sanctified food) distribution.

As we are involved in distributing divine blessings in the form of nutritious tasty prasadam, our concern is not just filling empty bellies, but feeding the soul.

Mass prasadam distribution awakens spiritual inclinations of the millions of people who are fortunate to taste it and all of those who assist in the cooking and distribution share in the divine blessings. Real peace in our society can be achieved by following this process. At Food for Life we are trying our best to give the maximum number of people the opportunity to taste Krishna prasadam. Whatever money is donated to Food for Life goes directly into feeding. Therefore we say, "Your support means a lot!".

How much should I give?

Give according to your heartfelt desire. Remember that giving for the cause of prasadam distribution is the same as giving directly to Krishna. By giving to the Supreme Lord, you are never the loser, but rather you gain immeasurably.

When Lord Ramachandra was building the bridge to Lanka, millions of monkeys were assisting by throwing stones of various sizes into the water. Some threw boulders and Hanumanji threw mountains in. An ant who was throwing in small specks of dust got in Hanumanji's way and he demanded the ant move aside. But Lord Rama chastised him, saying: "I take the service of both of you equally". The lesson we learn from this is that whatever you give from your heart, the Lord is mercifully willing to accept.
