Srila Prabhupada stayed in his Krishna-Balaram temple in Vrindavan. He was scarcely eating, extremely weak and thin, and was carried everywhere in a chair.
However, feeling intense devotion towards his disciples worldwide in their preaching he decided to leave Vrindavan on another world preaching tour.
"I was praying to Krishna, 'What is this slow death...?' At least my disciples will know I came at the risk of my life. They are the future hope. I must enthuse them. Krishna ordered Arjuna, and I am Arjuna's servant. I am not so limited to think that India is my country. Everything is Krishna's?"
Srila Prabhupada only got as far as the U.K. before he returned to Vrindavan.
"Now you have to become better, more healthy" a disciple called Harikesa swami encouraged. "Healthy?" said Srila Prabhupada. "I have nothing to do with this body."
On November 13th, 1977 unable to eat or even move, he heard of a bullock cart taking devotees from village to village.
"I will go!" he said. "Dying on parikrama is glorious!" and asked to go on a last adventure.
On November 14th, 7.30 p.m. Srila Prabhupada entered the eternal pastimes of Lord Krishna in his Vrindavan temple surrounded by his disciples from all nations chanting "Hare Krishna".
